Wisteria – Amethyst Falls

Description

A more manageable, native wisteria with soft lavender-purple flower clusters that appear in early summer and often rebloom lightly later in the season. Less aggressive than traditional Asian wisterias, making it an excellent choice for arbors, fences, and trellises in smaller gardens.

H: 10–15’ W: 8–10’ Zone: 5–9 – SUN

Zone 4/5 care: Plant in a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained soil. Provide sturdy support such as a trellis or arbor. Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage branching. In colder areas, winter protection and a protected planting site can help improve flowering and prevent dieback.
