Primrose/Primula – Crescendo Bright Red

Description

Leaves are thick and waxy that are held in a low evergreen rosette. Clusters of fragrant flowers come in shades of yellow, mauve, olive, pink, wine, and red, and usually have a contrasting eye. These plants were very popular in Victorian gardens. They have a blooming season that lasts from early Spring to late Spring, grows best in partial shade and will grow between 6 – 8 inches tall. These flowers will attract pollinators to your garden such as Butterflies and Bees while being resistant to Deer and Rabbits. They make great cut flowers, do well in containers, borders, and can be used for edging.
