Description
Peony ‘Garden Treasure’ is a stunning Itoh (intersectional) peony, prized for its long-lasting, semi-double to fully double golden-yellow blooms with soft, ruffled petals and a rich, citrus-like fragrance. Each flower is accented by delicate red flares at the base of the petals, adding depth and dimension to its radiant display. Blooming from late spring into early summer, Garden Treasure is a prolific bloomer, producing dozens of flowers per season, far longer than traditional herbaceous peonies.
As an Itoh peony, it combines the best traits of both tree and herbaceous peonies, featuring strong, sturdy stems that don’t require staking, along with lush, deep green, disease-resistant foliage that remains attractive well into fall. Thriving in full sun to partial shade, Garden Treasure prefers well-drained, fertile soil and is deer- and rabbit-resistant.
