Heliopsis/False Sunflower – Yellow Spider

Description

This clump-forming perennial grows three to four feet tall, it has plentiful, golden, double, daisy-like flowers with fiery red centers from midsummer to late fall. The charming purple hued foliage also adds delicious detail to your garden. Tough and a great cut flower. Beloved by bees and butterflies.

Heliopsis have traditionally been an excellent tall perennial for the middle or back of the flower border. It has a bushy, well-branched form and glossy, deep green, triangular leaves – a real workhorse in the garden! Use this plant in combination containers, as a cut flower, or to attract butterflies to your garden.
