Astrantia/Master Wort – Venice

Description

Exceptionally dark red flowers. Good upright habit. Clump-forming perennials with masses of palm-shaped leaves. Wiry stems rise above the foliage canopy, each tipped with a rounded flower head set in a cup of bracts. Excellent cut flowers. Picking flowers results in even more blooms. For added interest, bracts remain attractive even after the flowers fade. Masterwort have been cultivated in Britain since the 16th century.PART SHADE | H: 22-24″ W: 20-22″ | zone 4-7
