Description
A striking selection with deeply cut foliage that emerges rich purple in spring before maturing to dark green. Tall spikes of deep violet-blue hooded flowers appear in late summer, adding bold color and height to shaded borders and woodland gardens.
H: 36–48” W: 18–24” Zone: 3–7 – PART SUN / PART SHADE
Zone 4/5 care: Prefers rich, evenly moist soil and performs best with some afternoon shade. Plants are long-lived and generally deer resistant. All parts of the plant are highly toxic if ingested, so handle with care and avoid planting where children or pets may handle it. Staking may be helpful in windy locations.
