Description
The Redpoint Maple (Acer rubrum ‘Frank Jr.’) is a fast-growing, disease-resistant hybrid of the native red maple, prized for its vibrant red fall color and refined shape. It features a strong, upright branching structure with a symmetrical, pyramidal canopy, making it an excellent shade tree for urban and residential landscapes. Its deep green, glossy leaves provide a lush summer appearance before turning brilliant red in autumn. Unlike some maples, Redpoint Maple is highly adaptable to different soil conditions, drought-tolerant once established, and resistant to common diseases like leaf scorch and tar spot. Growing 40–50 feet tall with a 30–40 foot spread, it offers both beauty and durability in a wide range of climates.
