Description
A stand-out from other bluestems with wider, flat blades. Named for the Sandhill Crane, with an upright stature and gray-blue foliage. Fall colors of orange and red. From Intrinsic Perennial Gardens.
Schizachyrium is a great choice if you are looking to restore an eroded site, or for a plant that will grow in hot, dry areas where other plants have a hard time surviving.
