Description
Stately, tall, branched inflorescences with hooded blue blossoms. Considered one of the best late flowering perennials. Sturdier habit than many aconitums.
H: 2-5′ W: 1.5-2′ zone 3-9 – PART SHADE
Zone 4/5 care: Prefers rich, evenly moist soil and benefits from afternoon shade in warmer locations. Plants are long-lived and generally deer resistant. All parts of the plant are highly toxic if ingested, so handle with care and avoid planting where children or pets may be tempted to handle it. Staking may be helpful in windy sites.
