Daylily/Hemerocallis – Pardon Me

• Miniature daylily; 2¾”, fragrant, cranberry red tepals with a narrow yellow watermark and bright green throat
• Petals have pie crust ruffled edges, sepals are smooth, both are slightly recurved
• Heavily budded; blooms in Michigan from mid-July to mid-October, and in zones 6-7 it even tends to rebloom

Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).

• Midseason Bloomer, blooming in July.
• Rebloomer, producing a second set of flowers.
• Nocturnal, buds open in late afternoon and remain open through all or part of the next day.
• Fragrant flowers.
