Description
‘Parrot’ is the first member of the Fine Feathered™ Coneflower series of perennials. It showcases flowers that are highly unique in that they have light yellow edges, darkening to gold, and lastly transitioning into shades of red in the center of the flower. All this surrounds a dark red cone. These awesome blooms stand above lush, green foliage throughout summer!
Praised for their cheerful brightly colored flowers, coneflowers are a mainstay in today’s garden. Be sure to leave some spent blooms on the plants in the fall because their seeds provide winter food for finches and other birds. The dried seed heads also provide architectural interest in the winter. Requires very little fertilizing.
